Okay, what’s up with the 35+A and the A field? I think you have to go to the histograms a few posts down to figure out what’s going on with the data.

You’re assuming the course was the same for all of these races, for all of your comparisons. As and 35+ As go off at different times, don’t they? Not a fair comparison.

I only used lap 2 and 3 times since lap one times are junk (start time offset, not starting at the finish). Also, Bend was an attractive race dice it was dry, hence a greater likelihood that the course raced in a similar way all day. There are always going to be tradeoffs.

Tha course was a bit longer for the A, A masters and A womens.
Not sure by how much but at list 10-15 seconds

I offset A race times to account for the longer course. The women A times you see here reflect that offset.

Nice… Seeing this, I think it would be interesting to do a Women’s age regression and compare it to the Men’s age regression in terms of gain in time per 5 years.
